Enjoy! Interesting to see NE at the 5th spot even knowing UP has the huge North Platte yard. Also interesting to see FL in the top 10 as I don't think of that as a heavy RR traffic originator/destination. Date: 05/26/20 17:02 Re: Railroad employment by state Author: brc600 tracklight Wrote:

NE also has UP headquarters in Omaha, and a lot of BNSF employees in Alliance and Lincoln/Havelock. FL has CSX headquarters in Jacksonville. Posted from iPhone Date: 05/26/20 20:55 Re: Railroad employment by state Author: brc600 Canada, per RRB, has 549 members, likely Amtrak, CN, CP and related. I rode the Metra Chicago Soo Line route after last Christmas Dec 26th. Boh crew members had Canadian accents.

Not Soo Line, BNSF almost certainly, and CSX. Date: 05/27/20 05:38 Re: Railroad employment by state Author: howeld Who is the one railroad worker in the Virgin Islands?
Posted from iPhone Date: 05/27/20 07:25 Re: Railroad employment by state Author: brc600 Likely, an Amtrak on-board member. Several I've met are from the Carribean, etc. Thehigh-seniority ones can live there. Airline flight attendants used to be the same way. They could live ine the Carribean and travel to/from their crew bases on free flight travel.

But it's been a loooong time since 2000 people in all crafts hung their hat in Needles. Date: 05/27/20 11:27 Re: Railroad employment by state Author: callum_out OK, so I'm talking total employment by station not just TE&Y. I distinctly remember the Fresno number arounnd 1996 as we had just opened an
office there. The Needles number was quoted around the first of this year by the Needles City Manager and again it's not just TE&Y. Out |
