Denver Rock Island RR (DRIR) has two former Mount Hood units on their property as of 30 June 2020 in the Denver, CO, metro area.  Sandton Capital (reporting marks SDCX) 88, GP9R, was parked along Franklin Street at the new DRIR shop area (note no ballast under newly laid track).  DRIR is moving their locomotive parking area and office from along the South Platte River account National Western Complex redevelopment of the Denver Stockyards.  DRIR will have new tracks on new alignment along BNSF's Brush Subdivision.

The other ex-Mt Hood unit, SDCX 02, was parked at the former Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific RR Duban Yard near Quebec Street and north of Interstate 70 (I-70).
