Unique train.
Author: SantaFeRuss

Back in 2018 I was out and about the Burlington Northern Santa Fe "Transcon"  a mile or two east of Amarillo, Texas. This territory used to be governed by Automatic  Block Signals (ABS) with semaphores right on up to the late 1970's early 1980's time frame and was and still is double track.. Now  this is Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) territory. Santa Fe called it "Traffic Control System" or "TCS' . While out there many trains rolled by  as this is after all the "Transcon". During the Santa Fe era about 50-60 or more  trains a day rolled through this area. Now one can see sometimes 100 trains daily. One of the more interesting trains I saw was headed east. Since I don't know the symbol, I will go 'old school" and call it BNSF Extra 4680 East.  Enjoy.
