From Unhealthy to Hazardous Air Conditions On The BNSF

It was upgraded from unhealthy air quality to Hazardous today in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub. The high-low was 76-51 with a few drops from the dirty sky only to spot up the cars. Sounds like the smoke will be around till the end of the week, UGH! Traffic is at 22 trains since midnight with more on the way. Here are some of the trains from yesterday and today. I did filter out some of the smoke in a few pictures.

9/14/2020

1. EB 325pm manifest train with BNSF 8391-288-4603 on the point with no DPU.
2. Another shot of BNSF 288 on same train. Smoke filtered.
3. WB 352pm grain train with BNSF 7550-6205 on the pull with DPU's.

4. DPU's BNSF 8567-5966 on same train.
5. Grab shot of ​WB 412pm "Z' train with BNSF 7387-4414-7639-6828 on the point with no DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger. Smoke filtered.
6. ​WB 428pm grain train with BNSF 8329-6082 on the pull with DPU.

19. WB 301pm grain train with BNSF 6892-7776 on the point with DPU's. Lots of grain trains rolling these days.
20. DPU's BNSF 7312-8183 on same train.

I wish you'd clean your lens, those pictures are awful!! Seriously, it looks like the aftermath of Mt. St Helens, same
gritty look. Stay ouf of that stuff it truly is bad for one's lungs.
