Western Railroad Discussion > Derailment at Florence Co this amDate: 11/18/20 12:11 Derailment at Florence Co this am Author: msns2557 Hey all, Got word this morning of a derailment in Florence Colo this morning. We decided to go over and take a looksee at what happened. Here are 3 shot from what we found. Head end of train showing the cars derailed in shot 1.
Shot 2. Looking west from the Colo Hwy 67 road crossing. Shot 3. A closer shot of the 2 cars that were on the ground . Big gouge there. It also appears that the next car forward of the one on right has a wheel on the ground. No injuries other than pride and some bent metal. No leaks from the cars either. Thanks for looking. Be well everyone. Kristie Date: 11/18/20 12:46 Re: Derailment at Florence Co this am Author: HotWater What railroad is that?

Loads in. empties out. Mag Chloride. Thought the same. Switch under one of the cars that didn't derail tho. A cut of 4 cars other than the 6 here, were pulled back into industry (Cemex and the Mag Chloride place) Cemex has a Track Mobile they use, so I am guessing that is what was used to pull cars back over to east side of crossing, tho TV station in COS states the Colo Dept Of Transp used a front end loader. That was my point. Posted from Android |
