Wabtec 3000 sitting in Tehachapi
Author: x9000

Wabtec 3000 WB has been sitting at the Tehachapi depot since 0944 local.  Short train and looks like they are getting ready to set out a car onto a spur.

Backing EB at 1150 after doing some switching to move a2 flat cars of rails from between cement ACFs and 2 tankers to the rear.

Loram WB at 1200 heading to the loop.

And 3000 picked up the rest of the train and headed towards the loop  1225.

The only charging station is in Stockton.

It also recharges it's batteries when it is in Dynamics, ie Regenerative Braking!

Unless you mark it as sarcasm it very difficult to tell in a post.

It also charges as a standalone unit via the Trip Optimizer energizing the dynamics to recharge the unit. This is independent of
MU settings and must have some pretty decent fuzzy logic to determine when to do so.

Multiple levels of Poe's Law in action.

Poe's law is an adage of Internet culture stating that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, it is impossible to create a parody of extreme views so obviously exaggerated that it cannot be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied.[1][2][3] The original statement, by Nathan Poe, read:[1]
:
Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is utterly impossible to parody a Creationist in such a way that someone won't mistake for the genuine article.

These days:

/s

Is the usual symbol to denote sarcasm

Frankly, I had no idea if the question about being plugged in at the depot/museum was sarcastic.  After all it could have been a newbie question -- like I would have made a half century ago.
