BNSF 537, B40-8W, was amongst the dead units moving from Barstow, CA, to Donkey Creek, Wyoming, on BNSF's Brush Subdivision caught west of Keenesburg, CO.
The burgundy HLCX (Helm Leasing) units; 1032, 1030, 3802, 3813, 1055, 3805, 1054, 3883, and 1082 (nine HLCX units). Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/28/21 04:48 by cozephyr. The leased units HLMX may be going back to the lessor while the BNSF four axle units are probably being re-positioned. It looks like a few GP50s in the bunch which would likely be moved elsewhere to work or for a sale. Interesting move. Interesting. Thanks for posting it.

With the decline in coal traffic, Donkey Creek would be an okay spot for storage. Fairly dry and open. And as mentioned this time of year, cold. Curious as to why the GP50's are getting stored too, unless they are ultimately heading for Topeka or another facility for possible repair..
