Colorful HOT Tuesday
Author: rrartist

With the temps in the middle to upper 90s and a dewpoint in the 70s, it's getting nasty outside, do I stay home? Never! Trains run in the heat too....so out to Bangor (WI) I go, get the windows down and wait for the UP 8162, Columbia coal loads. This train met a CP 685, CP 8843. This scene just looks hot and humid! CP 288 marched through Bangor behind a recently rebuild CP 8172.

Tuesday evening brought me back trackside in Dakota MN for one towboat, Ingram Barge Lines "James F Neal" heading up river racing CP 471 with the CP 8943. Lastly Amtrak #7 led by the #161, a recently repainted 50th Anniversary unit. Stay cool!!!

Very NICE in the heat! I think we sent you our heat wave from last week where we had a 103.
