BNSF searchlight signals
Author: SGillings

On Saturday I drove along Orangethorpe in Yorba Linda and Placentia along the BNSF southern California mainline.  The attached three searchlight signals are still around as well as the single mast searchlights pictured by Evan Werkema about a year ago.  Not the best quality pictures, but....

On the portion you can't access between Esperanza and Prado Dam they are pouring new signal footings at the existing intermediate locations. It's probably only a matter of time before they advance westward.

Already have, the searchlights at the Highland intermediate west of Fullerton Station are gone, new cantilever and everything.

Not surprised. I haven't been that far east in awhile. Dogcatches and B-LACLACs lately. LOL
