Looks like emtpty coal vs. some mixed manifest.  Rear-ender?  Head on?

PTC combined freight and empty hopper, apparently. But, two people hurt, so maybe the engines are out of sight, rear-ender. The last news report indicates a rear-ender.

That line frequently puts NB trains nose to tail waiting to enter the E/W main and without signals it's not out of
the realm of possibility to see a rear ender.
