There has been chatter in the past year on TO about 2010 losing its BSA decals (or them simply fading away), but based on an image from Reddit’s r/trains thread today it appears to have finally happened. Also note that it did not get renumbered back to 7469 in the repaint process. Per the link, it's been within the past few months.

My guess is that Union Pacific decided to quietly step away from showing any support for the Boy Scouts of America.  When this locomotive was painted in 2010, the BSA was seen as a great organization for kids and one that was worthy of support.  However, in the 12 years since the locomotive's painting, the BSA has basically fallen from grace if you will with numerous controversies surrounding it.  A quick Google search will reveal all the details if you are unware of what has been happening with the BSA lately.  I can see almost any company doing that.

And I see it's accompanied by the armored "guard" caboose to keep it from being tagged.

I like it! UP needs to drop the BIG flag. A flag on the carbody in a smaller way would be good.

I would like to see one with the original brown roof painted......

Even the small flag that ATSF and BN put on locomotives just ahead of the cab around the Gulf War -- something like that would be great. Agree that the big one is tacky and the 2010 looks fantastic without it.
