Western Railroad Discussion > duplicate markings on the rails?Date: 01/18/22 13:48 duplicate markings on the rails? Author: mapboy Take a look at the markings on the rail in this thread from earlier today-
https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,5403356 How woud you explain the markings in the picture below? Extra credit if you know where this crossing is. I'll be back later if someone else doesn't have the explanation. mapboy Date: 01/18/22 13:50 Re: duplicate markings on the rails? Author: TAW And for the rest of your day's pay, what's behind Door No 3?
TAW Date: 01/18/22 14:41 Re: duplicate markings on the rails? Author: thatguy Although I don't know why the tracks are stenciled...I'm pretty sure the photo is taken at CP Maple. Where the Olive Sub splits from the Orange Sub.

And this really would not be right. Local graffiti artists got hold of a stencil. Otherwise I am scratching my head.
JB Date: 01/18/22 15:35 Re: duplicate markings on the rails? Author: mapboy thatguy has the location, Walnut Avenue crossing of Metrolink (ex-ATSF) in Orange, CA, at the junction of the Orange (“Surf Line”) and Olive Subs. 3rdswitch has explained it (all tracks inside CP Maple) and drawn it out. If he added double crossovers on the right and adjusted the signals, add Walnut Ave. and make the bottom two tracks curve off towards Anaheim and Los Angeles, he’d have it. The Orange Station is off to the right.

their track and time. When issuing / protecting track and time the control machine considers all of those pieces of track as MT 1. |
