While there have been some manifests "doubled up," usually it's unit trains that are combined for part of the journey.. A 13000 ft length isn't unusual for a manifest anymore.

A 13,000 foot manifest train is essentially a "doubled up" train, it's just by design where they get rid of one train symbol and add all those cars to another, creating the monster.
