#23 shows the intersection of Sutter and Stockton Sts. in San Francisco.  There's the sign for the Forbidden City night club on the right.
That's a 3 Jackson trolley coming up Sutter.  The 3 line is now a trolley bus, except that it was suspended during the pandemic and has not been put back in service.

Thanks Stephanie Ann, I was thinking either Geary or Sutter, thanks for the correction.

Nice trains Larry. Picture 17 shows a kind of cargo that can do a big damage in case of a derailment. It's better to stay far from the tracks.

Yes, photo 21 is of Morgan Ave Yard. This is where Pacific Electric cars layed-over from 1911 until 1954
when Metropolitan Coach Lines, the operator of PE's former passenger service, moved these functions
about 4000 feet further up Ocean Park Ave, (seen at the left of the photo), to Fairbanks Yard.

No 22 shows the J-Line private right-of-way in the middle of Pacific Blvd, just south of LAMTA's Vernon Yard.

No 24 is a remarkable photo. The 2714 is a General Motors TDH-5103, purchased in 1950. Here we see it
eastbound on Venice Blvd, just past the intersection of Vermont Ave, performing what had been, until September 17, 1950,
a rail car service on Pacific Electric's Venice Short Line. Under rail service the "VSL" had been headquartered
at PE's 4th & Hill St station and ran to its namesake city via Vineyard and Culver City.

If you look carefully between today's trees we can see the "Fuller Brush" signed building, still standing here:

Both google pictures sure show a big change in SF and LA with a few buildings still with us. Very interesting!

Five EMD's certainly brightened the nice day.

Wheel Cars (Photo 17) brings bsck memories of late 1980's / early 1990's'
At that time CSX decided to ship wheels over the highway on flatbed eighteen wheelers.
I always hated to be behind one on those rigs especially when it was going uphill.

PE #2714 looks super sharp.  The photographer did a real nice job.

Thanks for another interesting update of Ritzville. Also, thanks for another super nice bus photo.

In #23, might that be an ex-Market Street Railway streetcar?
