Illinois Railway Museum Psgr Car 9168

Illinois Railway Museum has acquired a passenger car from the Iowa Pacific bankruptcy sale held at Alamosa, Colorado.  Noted IRMX 9168 at Union Pacific's North Yard, Denver, CO, 22 July 2022.  Car came north via the Joint Line on 21 July.

History of the car from RYPN.org

PRR 12S-1DR sleeper #8836 John Greenleaf Whittier (Pullman, Lot #6220, Plan #3410B, 1929) sold in 1948 to PRR. Acquired from Ohio Railway Museum as SLRG #9168.

The 12-1 was the backbone of Pullman's fleet. Nice to see some survivors!
