What is the movement schedule typically like for this train between appearances? Does it travel during the day so that it can make a celebratory arrival? or does it pack up and depart after its stops so that it is all set up ahead of time at the next day's station?

From Texas railfan groups: Sometimes it runs at night and sometimes it runs during the day. It depends on where it's going/being set up.
