More photos from my trip in May, this time of the ML, LM & the Bonner Local. 

1. While waiting for the Bonner Local to finish switching the Bonner Industrial Park, the ML with three units on the headend crosses the Blackfoot River in Bonner.

2. Shortly after the ML went by, I heard the carman calling the LM and headed into Missoula to get it. Seen here it's crossing Rattlesnake Creek just east of Missoula Yard. 

3. Once the Bonner Local finished switching the industrial park, they shoved back onto the main with MRL painted woodchip hoppers.

4. After running around, the local heads back west to Missoula. 

5. On May 20th, I decided to skip the Night Gas and chase the Bonner Local again. Seen here the local is running LHF over the Clarkfork River west of Bonner.

7. While watching them switch, I heard the ML departing Missoula and headed back to the Clarkfork River to get them at the same spot as the local. 

8. Once the Bonner Local was done switching the Industrial Park, they headed east to McQuarrie to switch some tank cars in storage. In this photo they are eastbound near Turah.

Great series, I really enjoyed seeing the MRL on our one trip to Montana years ago.  Too bad it's not staying independent, it was a fun railroad to see in such a beautiful part of the country.
