When even UP teases about the rotaries
Author: weatherdawg

UP's social media accounts posted this image today comparing the rotaries to a standard snowblower. Not a bad caricature of them - but also a tease since Donner seemed to have survived the recent onslaught without bringing them out!

The bigger tease was decorating it in scarlet and gray...

Sadly, they probably don't have to manpower to run either one after PSR.

Who knew they had a sense of humor. That’s kind of clever. Thanks for sharing.

Status of the Cheyenne rotary seems to be OOS?

I think they would find it so the RR could be opened as it gets to the point plows will not work. Sorry

LOL, I wouldn't count on that, UP would probably use it as an excuse to quit running trains - thus reducing the Operating Ratio.

Those are the rotary windshield wipers. They're like the ones they use on ships.

If you don't know what those are, you really should just be quiet.

It's a caricature of a snow blower. What can I say about it? actually it isn't even coming out of the chute!

There's only a small gas powered snow blowers worth coming out of it
And what's that Windmill thing in the front center for? I think I've seen photos of them on top of posts.

Thanks for sharing. It's good they at least can make that. Even if the trains are are frozen to the tracks.

No it's not donuts--it's DVD's for backup for those wonderful useless alogarithims they think can replace...
that HORRIBLE expense--Employees.

Bet I can operate my snowblower a heck of a lot cheaper than the UP can theirs!  Mine WOULD DO MY DRIVEWAY FINE, if I could just get 18 inches of snow rather than the 5 so far this Winter!

I do believe based on my last trip thru Ed's dungeon that it was mentioned that the Cheyenne rotary is operable.

But,,,,,,,,does anybody there know how? I don't mean how to "operate it", but how to maintain, service, and repair it?
