Washington Eastern RR
Author: funnelfan

I chased the Washington Eastern RR Scoot Train yesterday afternoon as it headed west from Four Lakes, WA. The blue skies I was hoping for were chased away by high clouds so had to settle on these dark photos. Captions on the photo frames.

After chasing the Scoot Train out to Deep Creek, I went back and found the Geiger Turn heading back to Cheney with six empty bulkhead flats from Airway Heights.

Very nice photos, thanks for posting them.  Is this part of the shortline formerly owned by Nick Temple?  I've forgotten its name.

Thanks for posting.

What's with the red lights above the numberboards?  Rear markers?  Remote control active?

Thanks for posting! To the Temple question, no, this was part of the Western Railroad Builders empire, who sold out to Jaguar Transport Holdings a couple years back.

Former Conrail units that had red marker lights.

These ex-CSX units have been given a much neater and tasteful excision of the CSX logo than the Pan Am Railway's ex-C40s got when they were acquired from LTEX a few years back!
