CPKC Thursday in Texas

Went CPKC loco on Thursday May 18 morning to catch a couple trains.

1. L 31 CP8834 on the White Rock sub at Forest Ave in Dallas TX EB to Dallas yard formerly the LWY101.

2. L 34 KCS2601 departed Dallas yard on the Dallas sub at downtown Garland TX  heading east to Wylie TX formerly RWY204.

I believe that mid-rise is, or was, the Air Liquide building.

I remember being on the roof doing a water flow test in the
mid 80's when a Santa Fe freight came by pulled by a pair of CF7's.

Were CP locomotives already prevalent on KCS trains down there, or is this a new thing?

Yes that is a Mexican SDP40 rebuilt to SD22ECO
specification.
