BNSF 1774 East and the real ding-ding-ding
Author: BrianA

BNSF's Yakima to Toppenish turn passing Parker, WA east of Yakima, WA earlier today 5-29-23 with the sounds of one of four remaining mechanical crossing bells dating back to the Northern Pacific Rwy era.  The familiar metal on metal ding-ding-ding won't last forever before it isr replaced with something electronic so best to catch them while you can.  And the SD40-2 leading wasn't bad either.

Yakima, WA

Supper Video!  The real ding-ding-ding sound is a rarity these days.  BNSF #1774 looks and sounds great.

The mechanical crossing bell is nice, but check out that Leslie S-3L on the 1774!

Great video with NICE train, a real bell on the gates and a older sounding horn.
