Western Railroad Discussion > Connection Track for SCAM in Perris CA Any new information?

I just wondered if anyone has heard about any new developments on the project to connect the Metrolink track in Perris with the museum track of the Southern California Railway Museum.
This is a project that has been stalled for many years.  The switch off of the Metrolink line has been installed for years.  All that's needed is the switch connecting it to museum trackage.  Several
pieces of donated railroad equipment have been waiting all this time, to reach the museum,  but the track connection has to be finished first.

Switch might be done but wasn't there some discussion on switch interlock and signalling?   Would be nice to hear
some "official" news on this though. I'd be curious as to what might be next, is this going to be a crossover off the
track into the depot?
