Western Railroad Discussion > Oddity : Scraping a Box Car

I was out railfanning one afternoon at West Quincy, MO when I took this shot. There use to be a RIP track just east of the main line where they would park cars to be scraped. Well this contractor just wanted the metal out of this box car so he burnt the rest before he started cutting. Needless to say there was more than just wood to burn.
