Western Railroad Discussion > **9297 update**Date: 01/31/04 08:28 **9297 update** Author: 3rdswitch The BNSF 9297 led BPTLWAT train is now at Fresno but not called. Shows into Bakersfield aroung 1430 hrs. With THIRTEEN EASTBOUNDS alone [there are currently 5 westbounds on the line between Barstow and Bakersfield] right now between Fresno and Bakersfield [includes trains AT Bakersfield] it will probably fall down further, BUT, add some UP trains and it looks to be quite a day on Tehachapi, that is if the sun can burn it's way through! I pity the westbound that has to contend with this eastbound parade.
JB Date: 01/31/04 11:16 Re: **9297 update** Author: 3rdswitch Unfortunately, the latest lineup shows the train not departing Fresno until around 1500 hrs, putting it out of Bakersfield after dark, due to train congestion and other problems.

Everytime this locomotive comes up (or any other specific locomotive) someone asks what the "big deal" is about it. Instead of taking a couple minutes to ask the question again, why don't you take the same couple minutes to search for the answer. It has been ansered here more times than I can possibly count. Just click on the "Search" link below and search for BNSF 9297. I get almost a dozen threads about it just in the last month. I have no intention of being rude. Rather than clogging up the board with repeated information, why not search and find the exsting information first. It takes the same amount of time and effort to ask the question as it does to search for the answer. Strange, as at least FIVE baretable trains that were behind it have come and gone? It figures, the only interesting one sits.
