BUGX units
Author: FCP901

BUGX SD40-2 #3577 (ex-UP) and SD45 #7523 (ex-SP) spent the weekend in Roseville. Are these leased by UP or just passing through ? What does BUGX stand for ?

These two guys were the ones responsible for all of the ex-SP SD9's on the NWP before it shut down. A friend in Sonora, CA reported that the SD9's (minus the ones still at Schellville) were stored on the Sierra RR. The old units in Willits and some other equipment were also BUGX units.
