Author: tomstp I have a friend who is a SP engineer at El Paso and he states that UP is the "Master of confusion". Example: When crew districts on the T&P were changed from Toyah and Big Spring to Pecos and Sweetwater, UP built a new siding 8 to 9 miles west of Pecos and named it "Pecos" and renamed the siding in Pecos to some other name. The first El Paso crew with track warrant clearance to "Pecos" went to Pecos all right, Pecos Tx, not the new siding, they sailed on by it. Yep, the whole crew was fired.
