Wings Vs. Shield--A Compromise

Hello,

Union Pacific is currently debating whether to keep using the Wings logo or return to just the shield. This morning I shot this photo that shows a good compromise between the two logos. When in doubt, use...neither!


Notes: the photo is not doctored, and I doubt this "scheme" will become common. The shield probably just fell off or something.

I prefer the wings on wide nose locos and the large shield on conventional noses. The wings sure look nice on the new 5700's.
