What do you mean? Those racks were probably always that way. There's
still a few running around that aren't fully enclosed.

As to the other post about the full sided graffiti, I assume they use some
sort of paint roller. If you see them up close, they usually look like they
were rolled on, rather than spray painted.

The double deck open racks were probably required for the high profile cabs on these trucks. The remaining open cars in BNSF NA service are frequently run close to the headend where crews (hopefully) will keep an eye on them. Bob

This/These Same Autoracks fresh from the Tagger's Paint

this autorack along with a few more were covered back in September 2004 after being freshly tagged here in the Bay Area down by the Nummi plant in Milpitas/Warm Springs. Looks like those pink trucks have faded...
