Moffat sub X train
Author: eatontm

On 3-26-05, Sunset at Tolland, CO found rerouted BNSF grain empty X-FRSHDN (Fresno, CA to Hardin, MO) using its trackage rights over the UP to run around major track work in the Tehachapis. 30 tunnels lie between this earthworm and Denver where it will head east on BNSF rails via the Brush subdivision.

Beautiful shot. And it's hard to beat the symmetry of the earthworm train, especially in that setting. Looks fabulous!

That is a real nice pic.I love those unit grainers.Do any new BNSF hopper orders get green paint ,or is the brown standard these days.

Nice shot Tyler! Must have been a minor adjustment going from the beaches of Florida to the near 9,000 feet of elevation and (no doubt) freezing $#%^ temperatures of Tolland! hehe
