BNSF GP60M 116 Reflection at Lochbuie
Author: cozephyr

Eastbound BNSF Z DENCHI9 30 Denver, CO, to Chicago, IL) rolled into Tonville Siding to meet westbound Amtrak California Zephyr, train 5 on June 30, 2005. Rare to find four axle power on this train. BNSF GP60M 116 with B40-9W 540 made a nice pond reflection.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Department was involved in a high speed chase and a gunfight Sunday, July 3, 2005, that left a Morgan County Sheriff's Deputy injured and a suspect dead.

The chase began in Wiggins shortly after 7:40 a.m. when Nicholas Vovos, 22, and his wife Deborah Sue Miller Vovos, 39, were spotted in a Honda Accord at Stub's Gas and Oil near Wiggins.

It ended with Deborah Vovos dead and Nicholas Vovos in custody after shots were exchanged at a service station in Lochbuie along I-76.

The two were wanted for questioning in Orange County, Calif., in connection with the disappearance of 62-year-old Carolyn Dunn Avdeef, who was last seen June 15.

BNSF 116 sure does get around a lot. I caught this unit in Texas about 2 weeks ago in the lead on a southbound " Z "
