MSJRV - 27 (today)
Author: topper

The NS 3430 stands to be the leader on today's MSJRV, (depending on if it can actually lead).

It's supposed to be an SD40-2, although UP's computer claims it's an SD40-3.

Anyway, all you kids who care about such things listen for the SJRV on the radio as it gets ready to leave San Jose, so you'll know if the unit did indeed make it.

NS 3430 was rebuilt by Conrail from a KCS SD40 if I'm not mistaken....

Right on, I'll be one of those kids waiting to see if it gets hung up at Newark. It'll be nice to have that clean, good looking Horsehead leading the SP inspired soot jobs that are so common otherwise.

KCS 613 to PRLC 613 to CR 6967 to NS 3430

Before anyone asks, PRLC was a short-lived leasing outfit from about 1988.

The SJRV's having another stellar run.

Made it all the way to Oakland before having to be patched.

Well at least it did not have the crew die in Newark like I have seen happen in the past.
