When I win the lotto, I'm buying a Theatre Car. Pictures can't do justice to the view.

You know...I realize that the auxiliary tenders were not used in the "glory days"...but...in a weird sort of way, they ENHANCE the massive appearance of the engine. A big, big engine that needs a lot of fuel and water. The train looks quite self-sufficient with these, doesn't it?

Great pictures!

Ok, just curious. What is the criteria that determines when the steam has to have a diesel in consist for the dynamic braking??

Back in 2000 chased the Challenger across Utah on her way back to home base in Wyoming. Some pix of her strutting her stuff!

3985 Resting at Rock Springs, WY
Author: cozephyr

Back on August 24, 2005, UP 3985 laid over at Rock Springs, WY, after completing her first day run from Cheyenne. A passing eastbound train provided the illumination.

Sweet pics, and chasing her at 70? Try chasing 4449 at 75 when she pulled the Worlds Fair Daylight!
