Ocdtober of 2002, McCloud 2-8-2 #18 is on the way to Burney with a "fall color" excursion. The train has just left McCloud trailing McCloud's usual steam excursion consist. It seems impossible to believe that four years later the 18 would belong to the V&T and most of the trackage East of McCloud would be idle and up for up abandonemt.
