I don't think anything around today will compare with the Steamtown Railfan Weekends of the late 1970s. 5 or 6 engines under steam and enough runbys to keep everyone happy. A two day ticket ran around $25-30. My how times have changed. Thanks for looking.

1) #1295 & 1246 runby at Ludlow, VT

2) same day at Healdville, VT

Both taken in October, 1979

We've had several five locomotive events at MRSR, ('96, '98, and 2000 come to mind), and in '98 we even had all five pulling one train, but it won't be possible again for at least another year or two. Scott
