More from the OC!

OC #1293 double-heading with OC's GTW #6325.

Could use a location and date confirmation.
I believe this was in the Fall of 2002.

I believe thats Conesville, OH. I was there too, and the dates are
in my video "Ohio Steam Spectacular", but I don't have the dates handy at the moment.
This is where they put 6325 on the coal train and we did the runby further west at the
usual spot(name escapes me), then we went back east to this location for a couple of doubleheader
runbys to end the day.
Greg

PS The stack in the background I believe is from the Conesville Power Plant which is the plant OC served with
its coal trains.

I see myself between the ladders with the tripod in front.
I was on the darkside as my brother shot the sunny side!
Must be Hand on the right ladder.

Are those cab shots of the 6325 or the 1293? Looks like an 8-ET brake stand, not too many of those in use anywhere. Only 4 others that I can think of.

Here are a few from the archives. The Jan. 2004 Winter Photo Special. OC sure did a nice job with this one!

That's the cab of the 1293. Gone back and forth on upgrading to a newer brake, but JJJ likes it original.

Great shots guys.

Boy I miss 6325. My dad rode the last excursion with 6323 in Michigan years ago.
Anyone know if Jerry plans on repairing the engine, or is it done? Clock is ticking on the boiler.
15 years would be 2016...Tick Tock!! Its already been 6 years since it ran last I believe.

I had a cab ride on that Photo special. The bearing in (IIRC) R3 was really running warm then....They were watching it like a hawk.

That's the cab of 1293 during the DH runby that Mitch posted. Grant Geist is at the throttle, I don't recall the fireman's name.
