Steam & Excursion > Scullin Discs and Frisco 1522Date: 09/13/12 12:26 Scullin Discs and Frisco 1522 Author: UPTRAIN So, having looked 1522 over this past weekend in St. Louis: how many engines, operating or displayed, still sport Scullin Disc Drivers? I can't recall any running engines in recent years with them, with the exception of 1522.
One of the reasons I came out to the MOT was to spend a little time with 1522, being that this is 10 years to the month to the last time it had a a fire in the box. It sure is hard to believe that in a short 4 years, she will have been idle in her second retirement for the same amount of time that she was active in her second career. I did the driver shots in black and white for a couple reasons. 1 is that it looks cooler, and 2 is that it's kind of trippy light in there and everything looks weird in color. Pump Edited 1 time(s). Ken called me and asked if I could meet you guys over at the MOT that day but we were tied up and I couldn't make it. Wish I could have, would have liked to have met you all in a group.
I miss rattling windows with this old girl. Date: 09/13/12 13:45 Re: Scullin Discs in Excursion Service Author: UPTRAIN Frisco1522 Wrote:

I had a 4 day pass from my better half (OK, my better 3/4) and figured I'd come over to see 765 and go out to the museum while I waited for my buddy to tie up in Dupo. Hadn't been out there in 6 or 7 years. As I left to meet some friends in Kirkwood for pizza I met the 765 guys just inside the gate, made sure to tell them that the MOT "wasn't f****** a pick-and-pull outfit". They seemed a little downhearted. LOL! They did good at following me around that day though. Pump Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/13/12 13:48 by UPTRAIN.
