Like many others in SoCal, I went out this morning to watch and photograph our resident big steamer, AT&SF 3751. Not having a lot of time for a chase, and frankly not wanting to get caught up in traffic, I settled for one location close to home. Roughly 71 minutes after leaving LAUPT, 3751East and company negotiates the s-curves just east of the Upland Metrolink station before heading into Rancho Cucamonga. If you're going to shoot a wedgie, you might as well get the rods down and bell up along with the steam from that beautiful deep-throated whistle trailing off. With pretty flat lighting this morning, there is not a lot of "pop" in the photos at this point, but then I'm not "oyw" who always seems to have a sucker hole open up for him. How about it Bob? Get some sun on him this morning? Thanks for looking in.

KC

I thought the train was supposed to be longer, like 2-3 more cars?

Very nicely done, Kevin. Mike and I were just a few miles west of you at Claremont.

You got some nice, even lighting Kevin - plus rods down and bell swinging out. Really nice capture.
