should make her mainline debut. Any other events that we
should be keeping an eye on for next year?

Well as one on the left coast, I hope that 3751 gets to run down to San Diego, or better yet, a weekend trip to Bakersfield to run through the T-Loop.

Another visit to Santa Cruz by "Chiggen" would be nice.

It would nice to hear some truth from Das Steam Leader publicly on the fate of 844 and 3985.

A trip by SP&S 700 anywhere would be nice.

As soon as NWP and Smart finish the track upgrade, a visit by any steam locomotive to open the line would be really nice.

The target for ATSF 2926 to have her new flues installed, be hydrotested and steamed up is near the end of the year (2015).

It would indeed, but don't hold your breath for either
truth or steam from Cheyenne.

He's been promising 844 will run this fall, but fall
is getting closer by the day. 844 isn't.

Duluth & Northeastern #28

Let's here from somebody from Maine Central #470. How is it coming? Any chance in my lifetime? And.....forget about the Pennsy K-4s. If you got it in 1987-88,,,GOOD. You got it! If not, forget about it.

Just bring on the J...and the 4449.

Don't forget the Milwaukee Road #261 which will, if history is the judge, do an excursion in the Spring
and then another excursion in the Fall. Definitely a classy operation and one that really draws the
crowds to ride their trips.

And let us all give thanks for the dedicated people in the steam preservation movement, and to the generous souls who put money where their mouths are. Here we are, well over 50 years from the last significant every day steam operations, and we can still see Northerns and other large locomotives out and about (and for a short-term fix, there are theme park and tourist trains to ride.)

Hey once you guys do a break in run with her I'll either drive or be on No. 4 to see her in action!

C&O 1309 on the WMSR, although it looks like that might not be until 2016.

K&T 14 on the Big South Fork RR (ex-K&T).

Steamtown's Baldwin 0-6-0 #26, was suppose to be ready for last years
annual Railfest in Scranton. So... maybe, it will be ready by 2015 as
it's not looking like 2014.

PRR #1361! Well, rumors circulated that it was under restoration for
low speed operation at one point.

Where would that "slow speed operation" take place? Within the Altoona Railroaders Museum?
