Avoca is on the ex-DL&W main line between Buffalo and points east, currently used by Bath & Hammondsport RR between Cohocton and the Painted Post (Corning) connection to NS.

NKP 765 will be using a combination of the ex-Erie Buffalo line and main line that links Buffalo and Corning as part of NS Southern Tier route through the Canisteo River valley about 20 miles from Avoca.
