Steam & Excursion > 4501 Atlanta trips canceled. Any more info?

Does anyone know where 4501 is being kept in Atlanta? The trips were canceled this weekend due to threats of flash flooding, but I would still like to see her in my home city while she is here, or possibly catch her on her ferry move out of town.

Honestly, it's probably parked in a yard hidden from public view, that's what they did with 765 up here when just laying over. They do that for security reasons.

She's deep inside Inman Yard.  You can see a glimpse from the Marietta Rd overpass.  Last I heard was Tuesday for the return to Chattanooga.

That is exactly what I suspected. I went by that bridge last night, but couldn't see anything, but I assumed it was there somewhere. Thanks guys!

Once the decision was made not to run trips OR head immediately back to Chattanooga, the boiler would be filled with water, and the stack capped.  The fire would NOT be banked and be allowed to burn out.  The fire is never simply dropped unless there is a serious boiler issue, as this is hard on the boiler.  If the locomotive and train are to return to Chattanooga on Tuesday, someone will dump the ashes of the last fire and lay a new fire on Monday.  The locomotive will be slowly steamed up and then the fire banked on Monday night.  As tight as 4501 is, it will have 150lb + steam and plenty of fire to get started on Tuesday morning.

Is there anyway of knowing in advance when she will move out on Tuesday? I sure would love to see her.
