Chama Question

What movie is being filmed in Chama?  They've stated on the Friends website the yard cameras are down due to a movie being filmed in the yards.  Thanks in advance.

The Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum reports the title is "Hostiles", and a quick Google search finds the plot is about "An Army captain agrees to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief back to his tribal lands in the year 1892."

I looked this movie up on the  internet movie data base (IMDB). It has a promising cast, IMDB has a little more on the storyline. Always up for a good western!

I'm in Chama for the last few days, staying at Roger's Hotel.  They have painted the south side of the water tank brown, the east side of the station grey, removed all lamp-posts, signs, and covered all identifying signs on a bunch of cars.  The 463 is sporting its' gaslight headlamp.  The station name in now "Butte" and several passenger cars have been repainted green and labeled "Great Northern".  Tomorrow morning the streets will be absent cars, and the parking lot empty.  C&T passengers will be bussed to the first crossing and board their train.  Won't be easy to watch, but I'll try.

Butte?  Narrow gauge?  Cars should have been lettered Utah and Northern.

We are all wrong.  The movie is set in 1892 and by then the U&N was standard gauged and the GN station looks like it dates from post 1892.
