BAD,..... HOOK, LINE & SINKER... ARRRRGH! W. PS... Always admired Steve, from the Rock Island days, and the strike-period---- 79-80. Days of using 'officer crews'... I think it was Newton, Iowa, headed East, that he ran out of rails to run on(?), Rumor was that officer-dispatcher ( DesM) gave Steve bum info, But, Steve 'documented' the dispatcher's apparent error, before leaving DesMoines & heading back to Silvis... I never heard a peep about it, & while running on our ( following) return trip, from DeMoines, we passed the scattered cars, at the o/s road crossing... [ IIRC, the Eastbound Main had rails at that crossing removed.... for a couple weeks...] Posted from iPhone Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 06/20/17 14:07 by wcamp1472.
