Had a great time at the 3751 night shoot. We started just before sunset. Thank you to all who made this shoot possible. It was fun to see 3751 one last time before she goes through the Form 4 process again.

It always amazes me how lifeless 3751 can seem (perhaps all oil burners are this way), even when under steam, with just a little exhaust from the generator providing a clue. When she was about to move onto a service track to dump water and be put to sleep she sprung to life with steam coming out the stack.

From this siding she is drained and put to sleep. When will she steam again? Could be quite a long time and after quite a lot of effort. Thank you Amtrak, SBRHS, Steve Crise, and crew, for a memorable evening.

Nice touch with the added Santa Fe sign on the turntable control house.

Those are really great photos of a wonderful and
magnificent locomotive. Thanks so much for sharing
these great sots with us.

I, too, thank Amtrak and the SBRHS and Steve Crise
for that wonderful night photo shoot.

Sleep well, 3751, and awaken when you are truly ready
to storm the rails again.

Very, very nice scenes, the auto and railroader both look period correct! Especially like the closeups of water dumping, something I haven't seen before, but part of normal routine back in the steam days!

I have "herd it through the grape vine" that Amtrak is making noise about pulling up the turntable for shop expansion. Anybody else herd anything about it ?

I get a message when trying to access the SBRHS site that it is no longer in service. I want to buy another shirt. Help, Robbin!

The 3751 Facebook page is currently working.

No -- a FaceBook page is NOT enough. Whatever
is on FaceBook is almost impossible to find after
even one day, and the group's page is completely
at the mercy of whatever programs FaceBook happens
to want to use at any particular moment.

EDITED -- to remove all but the above.
Please read the post on Page 2 of this thread by
SBRHS President Warren Peterson --"GrandePete".
