Five Years Ago on WMSR
Author: Tominde

I got one of those "memories reminder" emails of past photos from 5 years ago. This is from a Carl Franz photo special on WMSR in Jan 2013 with 734. It was not the coldest or snowiest I was on but it sure was a good day. I may have previously posted some of these, and others on that trip have posted some too.

One of my favorite memories is riding up top in the caboose on a Carl Franz trip watching the 734 work up grade and through Brush tunnel. Listening to the locomotive and seeing the occasional orange glow from the firebox bounce off the white snow along the route. All from the warmth and comfort of the caboose with its oil fired stove.
