C&S 2-8-0 #638 w/NRHS Special @ DUS 1961

This shot was taken on Oct. 15, 1961 @ Denver Union Station by the late Dick Kindig. I have a few more of Dick's steam pics from about the same era that I will post in the future ... the engine is C&S 2-8-0 #638.

During this period 638 was the protect engine for 641 in Leadville and ran several excursions out of Denver. Here are shots of an excursion to Golden on the 4th of July 1962.
