Bets, get your bets here... Posted from iPhone Date: 04/02/19 21:02 Re: T-minus 32 days.... Author: callum_out Yuh know, it used to be that these things were huge boosts to Kodachrome sales, now it's just a boost for popcorn.
Out Date: 04/03/19 08:37 Re: T-minus 32 days.... Author: CZ10 I don't need to see 014 "lift off". I'll be happy to see it rolling down the track, vs flying through the air!

Thanks for sharing. Pat Date: 04/03/19 17:27 Re: T-minus 32 days.... Author: callum_out That picture is the result of having the steam trainline open at the wrong time.

Date: 04/03/19 22:21 Re: T-minus 32 days.... Author: clem Correctly proportioned, 4014 would only reach 1/3 of the way up that tower. And it weighs about 1/5 what a Saturn V does when both are fueled. Three of 16 Saturn Vs are preserved. Given the new initiative to return to the moon by 2024 (and no clear plan to make that date) maybe Ed Dickens should consider a move to NASA.

It was supposed to be a detailed replica due to weight. Never heard anything about it coming to fruition. Posted from Android Date: 04/05/19 14:17 Re: T-minus 32 days.... Author: Abqfoamer IIRC, an LA artist group spent a week or two measuring, working to produce a smaller, similarly hanging copy of 2926's rebuild in Abq a couple years ago.
Wonder if they were successful, ever displayed? Edited 5 time(s). Last edit at 04/05/19 14:31 by Abqfoamer. |
