Grand Canyon Railway Weekend (Film at 10 as promised!)

Here are some of the photos from this weekend's Grand Canyon trip...

These photos were taken Friday the 20th.

Photo 1 - The standard photo at Darling of an eastbound.
Photo 2 - Oops! This eastbound broke a knuckle when the power surged after going over a flange oiler.
Photo 3 - A westbound proceeding at restricted speed while the eastbound's crew was inspecting the train.

Photo 4 - The BNSF Officer Special at Challender
Photo 5 - A ratty engine meets the Officer Special at Williams.
Photo 6 - Back out to Challender and here is the first of 2 westbound grain trains running 4x3x2

Photo 7 - the mid train DPUs
Photo 8 - the tail end DPUs

Next day (the 21st) dawned bright and clear without a cloud to be seen.

Photo 9 - The 4960 and 29 head down to the station for the special train to the Grand Canyon.

Photo 10 - The BNSF special rounds the curve and heads north.
Photo 11 - The double headed special is on its way to the Grand Canyon.
Photo 12 - Running fast at Red Lake.

Photo 23 - Backing into the wye just a few minutes before sunset.
Photo 24 - Pushing back into the tail track.

But it is!  It was built by Pullman in 1923
