Steam & Excursion > UP 4014 & UP 4141, Franklin TX to Buffalo TXDate: 11/10/19 14:11 UP 4014 & UP 4141, Franklin TX to Buffalo TX Author: olddude41 This is the video we took of the steam train yesterday. So glad to be able to document UP 4141 last day in service. Beautiful weather made things especially nice. Thanks to my son Richard for operating my video rig while I took stills with my Nikon. Also thanks to my grandson Jeremy who made the trip with us along with his wife, Natalie. This was Natalie's first time seeing big-time steam and she was awe-struck and really enjoyed the experience.

I'm way out of the loop. d The UP 4141 was cut out of the steam train consist at Palestine, TX on Saturday evening and is being forwarded to the UP shops in N. Little Rock, AK. At N. Little Rock, the prime mover and other internals will be removed and the unit prepared for permanent static display at the George Bush Library at Texas A&M University at College Station, TX. The project including the work being done on UP 4141 and site preparation work at the library will take about a year to complete. Look for a dedication ceremony about November of 2020. Larry W.
