2816 Before and after

CP 2816 in a sorry state stored at Steamtown, taken during the Grand Opening in 99.  Then in Minnesota in 2004 after restoration.

I haven't seen all the restored steam locomotives (or have I?) but I have never seen one cleaner than 2816.

Ah Yes! Thank you Fitz! I have been told many wise things by this man, one of the very first was the “the Hudson type is the most perfect steam outline”. CP2816, what a total doll. The best of everything, and with a boiler re-built by none other that the Daylight machinist group.
