NKP #765 runs over the Poconos; 9-7-2015
Author: bigsavage

5 years ago, 765 ran a Labor Day excursion from Steamtown in Scranton, PA., to East Stroudsburg, PA.
The weather was great, but a little better pre-planning on my part could have resulted in more photos.
All of these were shot on Fujichrome slide film with a Nikon FM10 SLR.
2016 would be my last year of shooting 35mm color slides after doing so for 22 years.
1&2: leaving Scranton

I always appreciate the sharp, staccato stack talk from NKP 765. The gang at the FWRHS really know what they’re doing! Thanks for posting!!

Nice. You should really experience her at speeds above 60 MPH, though.

Agreed!! I’m hoping the FWRHS gets another shot at 70mph on Metra. Needless to say - I WILL BE ON BOARD!! God Bless Jack.

Jack, We can appreciate the high speeds of the 765 as we did the Joliet Rocket a couple of years ago in the open air car for all four trips. What a blast!!
